Pro Bono

The law firm Doria & Associati STA ltd has always promoted the values of solidarity and of the close relationship with the territory; every Client and every single file cannot prescind from a verification of the actual condition of the Client and the market of reference.

Also in consideration of the serious moment of the economy (especially in relation to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic) during 2021 it was asked to the Council of the Bar Association of belonging to offer free counselling services to struggling entrepreneurs, who are not eligible for legal aid.

However, during the month of October 2021, the competent Council of the Bar Association has expressed an opinion according to which there is a disciplinary offence against a lawyer who offers professional services on a pro-bono basis (to an in an unlimited measure).

The most developed countries provide an obligation of "Pro Bono" for all lawyers enrolled in the Bar, while in Italy we move in the exact opposite direction creating, perhaps, even greater detachment between the world of legal services and the world of entrepreneurship.

Hoping that the expressed guideline can be object to review from the Management Bodies of the Legal profession, we will repropose the instance when the general conditions will be changed, or at the amendment of the Council of the Bar Association of belonging.
